If I was going to tell them I would say…

Go ahead! Get it off your chest! Write ten things you would like to say to any person.
But don’t include their name!

1. I am always worrying about your future. I hope I can be a good influence on you.

2. I wish you wouldn’t do some of the things you do. Remember not everyone is as nice as you.

3. People make mistakes, its ok, don’t look down them.

4. Seriously you aren’t even a 1/4 as cool as you think you are. I know no one loves you the way you love your self.

5. In two months I will look back and wish you were the person you were then.

6.  I want to do something to make you proud of me, even though I know you already are.

7. I still wonder were you are, I try looking for you about twice a year.

8. I have already forgiven you by accident.

9. You are a complete jerk. You can be loved by everyone but me. I just hope to be able to get a few more sarcastic comments at you.

10. Good luck, and I am praying for you.

*11. I’m going to miss you.

So I tired to upload all of my videos from San Francisco last night. I came back tonight and watched one of them and found out only parts of the videos were posted. I’m way too tired and lazy to try again. I hate waiting for them to process, forever! So anyway here is a link to my youtube  you can watch part of the videos if you want.

Why is it

Posted in feelings at 6:08 am by briannemendes

that when you are having a crappy day, it gets worse? I just wanted to relax but then the perfect person with the dumbest questions pops into my little bubble. What gives? Its like there is a little beeper that goes off. “Brianne is finally calming down, anyone out there that she doesn’t want to hear from free to bug her??? Come on now we really need someone! Bonus points if she hasn’t heard from you in over a month! ”

review of Panic’s new album Pretty. Odd.

Posted in music tagged at 5:02 am by briannemendes

This isn’t one of those albums you can dance to in your car. Its more simple and repetitive than the last album. When you think Panic! At the Disco the sound of this album is not what pops into your head. It sounds nothing like their 1st record. I like how you can hear all the instruments, besides just a guitar, bass and drums. It’s a refreshing sound. I don’t know if I like the guitarist’s background vocals in it. I don’t feel his voice runs smoothly, the rest of the back ground vocals are good.  All in all I enjoyed the last album more, but I think this one is one of those records you need to hear more then once to love. I already have favorites like: “Nine in the Afternoon”, “We’re so Starving”, and “That Green Gentleman”.

Review of all the songs:

“We’re so Starving” is very up beat, like BAM!  perfect introduction to a cd.  “Nine in the Afternoon” is up beat, want to dance around your house to, one of those songs you want to smile to. I have heard this song so many times, but I still don’t get when Nine in the Afternoon is. “She’s a Handsome Women”, tongue in cheek. The long go ons are not needed in the song, it would sound better with out them. It’s interesting how there are birds in “Do You Know What I’m Seeing?”, wasn’t expecting them. This song draws you in with the deep vocals and the strings. I think “That Green Gentlemen” is good enough to be the second song let out of the album. It has a happy go lucky toe tapping beat. The lyrics are relatable for growing up. I picture “I Have Friends In Holy Spaces” to be turned on an old fashioned radio or flappers dancing around. “Northern Downpour” lyrics are symbolism I am guessing because out right they don’t make sense. It has an air of The Beatles in this song, like a mix of a “Day in the Life” and “Hey Jude”. When ever I heard “hey moon” I thought “hey Jude”. My first impression of “When the Day Met the Night” is that it sounds like a song you would smoke pot to in the middle of flower field, peace. Towards the end it gets more brassy.

For “Pas De Chavel” I wouldn’t think this song was misplaced if I heard it in a musical. This isn’t a diss against the song, its up beat and I can see an actor singing and dancing to it. “The Piano Knows Something I Don’t Know” sounds like it has church bells with a royal trumpeter. Very different mix of sound styles- Beatles from the 60’s mixed with a musical. I can not stand the vocals in “Behind the Sea”. Picture a rubber band being stretched and gently released and then in the last 30 seconds gets caught in a tornado. “Folkin’ Around” yeah like the title says there is a folk air about it. Cute and short. “She Had The World” there’s nothing too memorable about it. “From a Mountain in the Middle of a Cabin” intriguing title. The whistling and piano at the end were enjoyable. “Mad as Rabbits” is quirky with it’s lyrics, like “his arms were branches of  Christmas trees” .
